Houses

All students at Cedars International Next Gen High School are sorted into one our 5 houses:

- Fovero

- Veneratio

- Unbroken

- Thunder

- Royals

 

These Houses were originally built from our 5 Core Values, though now they have evolved to integrate all core values into each. These Houses allow students an opportunity to engage in culture and community building activities throughout the year. Each House is comprised of members from different grade levels, giving the students an opportunity to form relationships with peers they might not otherwise interact with. 

 

During our first year of Houses, each House created their own name, colors, and logo. These are worn with pride and chanted in the hallways during the House competitions that take place at the end of each trimester. These competitions, along with monthly games and acts of culture, allow Houses to earn House Points to compete for the coveted House Cup. The House Cup is awarded at the end of the year, along with a special treat for the winning House. 

 

In addition to earning House points, each House undertakes a community service project that is selected and organized by students. These are designed to give students an opportunity to interact with, give back and contribute to the community outside of our school. Examples of this year's service project include volunteering at events like the Trail of Lights and park clean ups, creating donation baskets for Dell's Children Hospital and Christopher House, or tutoring at our Elementary campus.
